Some types of waste are harmful to human health, or to the environment, either immediately or over an extended period of time, these are called hazardous wastes.

Wastes will fall into one of three categories, which are always hazardous for example, lead acid batteries or fluorescent tubes, never hazardous for example edible oil, and may, or may not, be hazardous and need to be assessed, for example, ink or paint.

Amenities can collect all hazardous wastes including chemicals, fluorescent tubes, lead acid batteries, we can supply skips to store the hazardous waste and can arrange for these skips to be exchanged weekly, monthly or on a request basis, each collection of hazardous waste is accompanied by a Hazardous Waste Consignment Note.

All sites disposing of hazardous waste must be registered as a hazardous waste producer; this is something we can help you with.
